The Farm’s Secret Tomato Basil Soup Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 - 28 ounce cans whole peeled tomatoes

  • 1 quart chicken broth

  • 2 heaping Tablespoons minced garlic

  • 1 small or medium onion (depending on taste preference)

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cube 8 oz. cream cheese

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 1 teaspoon pepper

  • Toppings (optional)- dried basil

Instructions

  • Chop up onion

  • Add cooking oil in frying pan on turn on medium heat

  • Sauté onions with garlic until onions are clear and translucent

  • Add Tomatoes, broth, salt, and pepper

  • Bring to boil, then simmer for 20 minutes

  • Add mixture to blender and add heavy cream & parmesan cheese. Blend until creamy

  • Add toppings if desired

Sourdough Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 2 slices Sourdough Bread

  • Mayonnaise

  • 2 slices Cheddar or American Cheese

Instructions

  • Pre-heat skillet to low- medium heat.

  • Evenly spread a thin layer Mayonnaise on the outside of the sourdough bread and place the cheese slices in the middle.

  • Griddle the sandwich until it is golden on both sides and the cheese is melted, about 4 minutes. Give it a press into the skillet to help with crisping.
